ربما هى واحدة من أكثر عائلات السيارات تميزاً وغموضاً ، أنها عائلة الظلام من مرسيدس ، عائلة " Black " التي أطلقها بيت التعديل المملوك لشركة مرسيدس " AMG " لتقدم أفراد تلك العلامة الرائدة بصورة لم يراها محبيها من قبل . العائلة الغامضة ، تمتلك ثلاثة افراد في سجلاتها ، الأول هو القائد وهو CLK بلاك ويليها SL بلاك ، والشقيق الأصغر هو المنطلق حديثاً C63 بلاك الجديد ، وفي تقرير نشرته مجلة موتور تريند الأمريكية ، أكدت المجلة الشهيرة أن الصانع الألماني بصدد البدء في تصنيع نسخة من طرازه الفائق " SLS " تحمل في طياتها جينات القوة المظلمة لعائلة بلاك الشهيرة .
التقرير لم يشر إلي أى تفاصيل تقنية أو معلومات هندسية ، ولكن بالطبع ستنال السيارة زخماً كبيراً ، مع تعديلات هندسية وميكانيكية واضحة .
وفي نفس السياق ، أكدت المجلة في تقريرها أن النسخة المعدة للسير على الطرقات من نسخة SLS GT3 التسابقية لن تدخل إلي أسواق الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ، بالإضافة إلي احتمالية عدم دخول النسخة الكهربائية من نفس الطراز والمعروفة بإسم " SLS AMG E-Cell " إلي السوق الأمريكي ، في الوقت الذي تم تأكيد بدء تسويقها في أسواق أوروبا مطلع عام 2012 .
