في ظل الحملة الجديدة على قطع الغيار المزيفة التي قامت به وكالات السياراتدول مجلس التعاون الخليجي مجلس التعاون الخليجي بالاضافة الى بعض الدول متمثلة في حكوماتها من ، أصدر الأستاذ عبد الله بن أحمد زينل وزير التجارة والصناعة بالمملكة العربية السعودية ، قراراً بمنع استيراد قطع غيار السيارات المستعملة ، واضاف الى ذلك إستثناء قطع الغيار الرئيسية مثل " ناقل الحركة ، قطع البدن الخارجية ، التروس التفاضلية – الدفرينشيل أو الديفرينس - و المحركات " ولكنه اشترط أن تكون خالية من الشحوم والزيوت ومغلفة وملحق بها شهادة مطابقة تثبت أنها مجددة وملصق عليها لاصق غير قابل للنزع يوضح أنها مجددة(قطع الغيار المزيفة .
كما ان القرار يشمل جزء يسمح باستيراد السيارات المستعملة و التي لا يتجاوز عمرها خمس سنين بما في ذلك سنة الصنع على أن تقوم مختبرات الهيئة السعودية للمواصفات والمقاييس والجودة أو أي جهة أخرى معتمدة وفق نظام المختبرات الخاصة وحاصلة على ترخيص نهائي من وزارة التجارة والصناعة بفحصها والتأكد من مطابقتها للمواصفات القياسية المعتمدة ، مع منع استيراد السيارات القديمة التي تجاوز عمرها خمس سنوات بغرض تفكيكها والاستفادة من قطع غيارها .
على جانب أخر ، أعلنت دائرة التنمية الاقتصادية في أبو ظبي ودبي والشارقة بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة ، في مؤتمر صحافي أقيم بالتعاون مع شركة الفطيم للسيارات وكيل تويوتا بدولة الإمارات عن نتائج الحملة التفتيشية الثلاثية التي جرى تنفيذها الأسبوع الماضي، على مدى 10 أيام متتالية وشملت عدداً من تجار قطع الغيار المزيفة في أبو ظبي ودبي والشارقة. وحققت الحملة التفتيشية الثلاثية على الإمارات الثلاثة نجاحاً مميزاً بحيث تم الاستحواذ على عشرات الآلاف من القطع المغشوشة.
وأثبت النجاح الذي حققته هذه الحملات والجهود المشتركة لجميع الأطراف ذات العلاقة، رغبة جميع الجهات في محاربة هذا الخطر، والتي ستقطع شوطاً طويلاً لضمان تأمين حياة مالكي المركبات خارج دائرة الخطر، وكذلك حماية الحقوق المشروعة للوكلاء المفوّضين
